JOB SUMMARY

This Inventory Management Specialist position reviews, analyzes and interprets supply data from depots, CONUS or OCONUS activities: determines and advises on compatibility; investigates causes of deficiencies; provides recommendations to correct problem areas. This position is subject to the NH-02 non-supervisory analyst control point of the CECOM Control Point Policy.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Manages assigned major or secondary items to ensure effective support of equipment or weapons systems to meet customer needs

• Serves as liaison between the command and assigned depots to provide technical guidance, interpret regulations and procedures, assist with problem resolutions

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Reviewing inventory management data to provide inventory management information, reports, and services, and to recommend actions to eliminate specific or systemic problems; and 2) Contributes to management/technical reports related to Inventory Management.. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: mathematics, business, or engineering. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
