    Job Description

    • Provides collocated integrated logistics support (ILS) to a Program Manager (PM) for assigned weapon system(s) (e.g., GDT, SCDL, MGSM, CGS, etc.).
    • Plans, coordinates, manages, tracks, and executes the entire range of readiness activity in support of assigned programs.
    • Assignments are characterized by a high degree of equipment complexity and typically require a thorough knowledge of the practices and functions of the various readiness support elements
    • The incumbent establishes procedures, priorities, and schedules; and tasks functional elements to accomplish specific program actions consistent with provided requirements, schedules, and funding.
    • Resolves controversial issues by most expeditious means available.
    • Establishes the scope and extent of the logistic support for both Army and other user services;
    • forecasts provisioning and budget requirements; establishes maintenance and support concept for assigned weapon system(s); analyzes and/or develops logistics documents such as Material Fielding Plans (MFPs),
    • and ILS Plans for the purpose of assuring the sufficiency/adequacy of transition planning and readiness contributions to requirement documents.
    • Coordinates, provides updates to, and prepares Acquisition Requirements Packages (ARPs).
    • Analyzes and modifies the contributions of the various functional areas and develops an ARP that tailors the various responses into a package that assures consistency with the specific needs of the system.
    • Represents the PM or LRC in the Integrated Logistic Support Management Team (ILSMT).
    • Participates in the ILS Integrated Process Team (IPT).
    • As the designated authority for assigned systems, identifies significant problems (actual and incipient) associated with support status; evaluates these problems as they pertain to the command.
    • Maintains contact with top-level managers within the PM, command, other commands, agencies, and industry.
    • Represent ILS at conferences and meetings to implement decisions that bind the organization to a course of action.

Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Analyzing logistics support data to provide recommendations for improvement; 2) Reviewing procurement documentation for accuracy; 3) Performing logistics support for weapon system readiness; and 4) Preparing oral briefings and/or developing written reports, position papers, or policies. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Acquisition Strategy Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Planning Oral Communication Problem Solving Applicants must meet basic eligibility requirements such as minimum qualifications, and other regulatory requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-03 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS-12 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS-13 grade step 05 in the broadband. The Control Point for this position is equivalent to GS-13 step 5 at $133,692 including locality at the rate of 33.26%. Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the control point salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position or if the incumbent's salary currently exceeds the GS-13, step 05 level the incumbent' s salary will be put on a salary control point at the incumbents existing salary.
