    Job Summary

    This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The position is with the Communications Security Logistics Activity (CSLA) Directorate, Cryptographic Systems Division and has unique placement to work directly with PM Tactical Radio, Product Lead Communications Security at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

    Job Description

    • Responsible for cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from concept through field deployment.
    • Directs, develops, and performs logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for major complex systems.
    • Provide input to acquisition or integrated Logistics Support plans.
    • Analyze relations between technical aspects of the total Integrated Support (ILS strategy).
    • Resolve differences between military services/agencies to achieve Integrated Logistics Support objectives.
    • Analyze performance metrics to detect trends or isolate causes for declining performance.
    • Plan or develop integrated logistics activities supporting the Centers Integrated Sustainment Logistics Production and Readiness mission.

    Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience: 1) Experience in Interpreting or reviewing logistics policy/regulatory guidance for all aspects of Life Cycle Integrated Logistics Support (ILS); and 2) Experience in managing integrated logistics support activities for major weapons systems. The pay band NH-03 includes the General Schedule grade equivalent to GS-12 to 13. Other initiatives under the Acquisition Demonstration Project include simplified classification, streamlined hiring process and expanded developmental opportunities. The Position has a control point of GS-13 step 5 $126,949. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Project Management
