    Job Description

    • Provides expert logistics management specialist concerned with directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating.
    • Evaluates the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) or Integrated Product Support (IPS) for major complex systems that encompass new and emerging technologies and complicated life cycle support strategies.
    • Oversees cradle to grave intensive logistics management to support a complex, major weapons system from concept through equipment transitioning into sustainment.
    • Performs the full range of planning, liaison, contract developing and monitoring program schedules, organizational interface, and control of other government elements supporting the acquisition effort and logistics phases of development.
    • Review and comment on contract deliverables.
    • Implements PEO/DA/DOD acquisition policies and procedures and COMSEC regulations and policies to support the program manager’s requirement to field fully supportable COMSEC equipment and meet operational requirements for the soldier in the field.
    • Resolves complex logistics problems.
    • Manages the processes of planning, directing, managing, monitoring, evaluating and correcting ILS/IPS deficiencies.
    • Develops documents used for preparation of basic life cycle funding and budgeting to support the research and development, acquisition and sustainment of the system/equipment.
    • Serves on ILS/IPS management teams.

Specialized experience is defined as: 1) Serving on a team or project in carrying out assigned functional or administrative responsibilities; 2) Interpreting or reviewing logistics policy/regulatory guidance for all aspects of Life Cycle Integrated Logistics Support (ILS); 3) Managing integrated logistics support activities for major weapons systems to include any of the following: Life Cycle Sustainment Plans, Item Unique Identification (IUID) Plans, Basic of Issue Plan, Type Classification; Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS); Reviewing Fielding Plans, Computer Based Training, New Equipment Training, Transition to Sustainment, Tech Manuals Validation/Verification, or Depot support; AND 4) Implementing management actions to support all equipment required to support life cycle costs.
