This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serves as Assistant Program Manager responsible for managing new systems through advanced development, production and fielding.
This is a pay banded position. The NH-03 encompasses grades 12 and 13 on the General Schedule.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify, your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. This typically includes work performed at the next lower grade/level (NH-02/GS-11) position in the federal service.
Specialized Experience : One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Acquisition life cycle product/project development or functional support (budget, technical, or logistics) with a focus in managing cost, schedule, performance and risk for a program of record or non-program of record communications systems; 2) Perform Contracting Officer Representative (COR) duties/responsibilities or participate in a Source Selection competitive contract award performing some of the following functions: conducting technical evaluations, source selection, evaluating performance or writing performance work statements (PWS).
