Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Compiling and analyzing data to identify potential problems, trends, and benefits; 2) Evaluating and monitoring ongoing programs and projects to determine the effectiveness of program operations; 3) Reviewing and analyzing manpower and fund expenditure to identify deficiencies, and areas of imbalance in the funding and scheduling of pertinent programs. Education cannot be substituted for experience. This position has a control point of GS-13 step 5
The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is the Army’s materiel integrator for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness. As a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC), CECOM collaborates with Army Commands, Program Executive Offices, other AMC commands, and industry partners to provide, integrate, and sustain world-class C5ISR hardware, software, and mission command capabilities for the joint warfighter. CECOM maintains a global team of approximately 9,000 Soldiers, civilians, and contractors and is headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD.
