    Job Summary

    This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM), DCS for Resource Management, G8, headquartered at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, is one of the most experienced and comprehensive support centers within the DoD. Position advertised is for a Program Analyst within CECOM G8.

    Job Description

    • Develops forecasts of current and budget year execution.
    • Develops commitment and obligation plans using execution planning data bases, coordinates them with Fund Center managers, obtains Command level approval, and transmits them to requesting headquarters.
    • Obtains, analyzes, and disseminates to affected Fund Center managers the results of Congressional, OSD, HQDA, AMC, and Command actions on funded program levels.
    • Reviews and analyzes manpower and fund expenditures data

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Compiling and analyzing data to identify potential problems, trends, and benefits; 2) Evaluating and monitoring ongoing programs and projects to determine the effectiveness of program operations; 3) Reviewing and analyzing manpower and fund expenditure to identify deficiencies, and areas of imbalance in the funding and scheduling of pertinent programs. Education cannot be substituted for experience. This position has a control point of GS-13 step 5
