    Job Description

    • Serves as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist over a significant size group of first-line supervisors and staff who support the strategic sourcing, and/or acquisition management and order fulfillment functions in Army Materiel Command (AMC).
    • Oversees a procurement coordination staff that prepares and manages contracting materials such as requirement documents, market research, independent government cost estimates (IGCEs) etc.; including spend plans for current and/or future requirements; reviews and/or validates contractor invoices for payment and coordinates delivery.
    • Supports the supply chain management team and weapon system team in developing and executing an appropriate acquisition strategy to meet the supply and maintenance support strategy within policy and regulatory guidance.
    • Ensures strategic sourcing input is provided to the command sales and operations plan on a timely basis with appropriate messaging to ensure senior leader confidence.
    • Observes the operations of subordinate first-line supervisors and staff through written or oral reports, correspondence review, consultation with supervisors, and personal observation.
    • Analyzes complex information to make decisions concerning multi-faceted problems and achieve organizational objectives.
    • Consults with specialists on training needs and decides on applicable administrative and technical training-related courses for the unit supervised.
    • Facilitates and maintains relationships between your organizations, partner organizations and vendors.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors holding responsibility for the procurement planning processes within the organization.
