This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Job Description

• Perform installation access control for pedestrians and vehicles utilizing standard operating procedures, written orders and regulatory requirements.
• Resolve standard procedural and non-recurring visitor access assignments in support of the Visitor Control Center.
• Serve as a member of the installation’s overall security response capability during actual or simulated incidents.
• Regulate pedestrian and vehicular traffic to prevent accidents and to ease congestion and parking problems.

One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Protecting property against such hazards as fire, theft, damage, accident, or trespass; 2) Maintaining order and protecting life; AND 3) Controlling access of vehicles, visitors and/or pedestrians into a facility or area. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).

The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is the Army’s materiel integrator for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness. As a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC), CECOM collaborates with Army Commands, Program Executive Offices, other AMC commands, and industry partners to provide, integrate, and sustain world-class C5ISR hardware, software, and mission command capabilities for the joint warfighter.
