The Office of U.S. Senator Mazie K. Hirono seeks a full-time Staff Assistant for the state office in Honolulu, Hawaii.
This position is located in Honolulu, Hawaii. Relocation expenses will not be covered. Salary is commensurable with experience and the position is eligible for benefits. Bachelor's degree required.
Primary duties include: welcoming visitors to the office, answering phone calls, processing mail, maintaining constituent database records, drafting congratulatory certificates, providing information for DC services including coordinating with DC office for congressional tours, and other administrative or clerical tasks as assigned. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and organized.
Professionalism, confidentiality, and teamwork are required, as well as a familiarity and appreciation of Hawaii’s multi-ethnic society and the uniqueness of each island community.
