JOB SUMMARY
About the Position: Serve as a Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) Lead-System Technical Representative (LSTR) synchronizing and integrating the technical and logistics support to command, control, communications, computers, cyber, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C5ISR) systems in Corps/Division and lower elements in the field This is a permanent position. This is an Emergency Essential position.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The supervisory CECOM Trail Boss ensures immediate action to support priority units and advises the CECOM SCR, and CDR AFSBn on C5ISR problem resolution.
Provide support down to the lowest tactical levels in Army formations, accomplishing objectives across timelines consistent with unit priorities.
As the single point of entry for the integration of CECOM field support actions, executes activities to improve and sustain the material readiness of equipment and software for supported units within assigned region.
Identify systemic issues and trends requiring corrective action and elevates them for corrective action.
Prepare and present briefings and information papers on the status of C5ISR support initiatives to other commands, other Government agencies, and industry.
Plan, coordinate, and direct the operations of fielding activities within the assigned area of operation.
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities and gives consideration to difficulty of assignments and capabilities of skill sets.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) leading a team by communicating assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, or program issues under review, and deadlines and time frames for completion; 2) providing expert technical advice, assistance, and/or instruction to end users on the operation and maintenance of communications electronics devises; and 3) investigating failure trends in systems malfunctions and/or logistics for root causes of unusual downtime. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13). The U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) is the Army’s materiel integrator for Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) readiness. As a major subordinate command of the U.S. Army Materiel Command (AMC), CECOM collaborates with Army Commands, Program Executive Offices, other AMC commands, and industry partners to provide, integrate, and sustain world-class C5ISR hardware, software, and mission command capabilities for the joint warfighter.
