    JOB SUMMARY

    About the Position: Serve as Special Staff to the Commander, Army Field Support Battalion (AFSBn) as the single point of entry for the integration of CECOM field support actions, executes activities to improve and sustain the material readiness of equipment and software for supported units within assigned region. COLA Statement: Federal employees in Alaska are currently entitled to receive a 2.48% Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) in addition to the base salary. This is subject to change.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Serve as Special Staff to the leadership group as the single point of entry for the integration of CECOM field support actions.

    • Execute activities to improve and sustain the material readiness of equipment and software for supported units within assigned region.

    • Advise leadership and stakeholder partners regarding the effectiveness of total support provided to units owning/maintaining program of record and non-program of record systems and materials and makes recommendations on process improvements.

    • Prepare briefings and/or information papers on the status of CECOM support initiatives to other commands, other Government agencies, and industry.

    • Perform analyses and/or assessments of proposed support concepts and structures.

    • Identify under or overutilization of manpower to make recommendations for workload, balancing with the goal of maximizing use of existing personnel and capabilities to the CECOM SCR.

    • Conduct periodic internal reviews to evaluate effectiveness of regional support, training programs, fielding activities, and/or transformation initiatives.

    • Coordinate directly or through subordinate supervisors the activities of all assigned CECOM personnel local or in geographically separated offices.

    • Makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinate supervisors.

    • Evaluate customer satisfaction and team performance through feedback metrics.

    • Provide positive customer focus while maintaining a positive work environment.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03/GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service Managing Human Resources Planning and Evaluating Technical Competence This is a DoD Civilian Acquisition Workforce Personnel Demonstration Project (AcqDemo) position in the NH-04 broadband with an advertised pay range from the lowest equivalent GS-14 grade Step 1 to the highest equivalent GS-15 grade step 6 in the broadband. This position is subject to the NH-04 Supervisory Director/Deputy Director/Division Chief/Branch Chief control point of the CECOM Control Point Policy. Management will set the pay for this position consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position.
