The Financial Management Associate (FMA) Program is a global leadership development program for MBAs (or qualified internal candidates); designed to create a pipeline of future Finance leaders with experience in multiple Finance disciplines (Controllers, Treasury, Financial Planning & Analysis, Tax, Investor Relations, Capital Planning, and Mergers & Acquisition). The FMA program is unique due to the various business/region/discipline perspectives it offers. For all rotations including first placements, FMAs will have an opportunity to gain experience working closely with senior managers to build leadership capabilities. FMAs will have an opportunity to support the 4 pillars of Citi Finance: drive business results; improve financial processes; strengthen the control environment and continue to make Citi a great place to work. The program consists of three six-month rotations in which FMAs have the opportunity to contribute to multiple Finance disciplines with a required rotation in Treasury and Controllers. Each rotation must be in a Finance area that is different than prior rotations (this includes Summer FMA rotations). This is done to maximize FMA development opportunities, accelerate learning and allow FMAs to quickly contribute to Citi Finance priorities. International rotations are generally offered during the second and third rotations based on performance and business needs. Upon successful completion of the program, FMAs are considered for placements within Citi Finance for a Finance role not previously performed in any rotation including summer rotations. Key elements of the FMA program include:
All FMAs participate in a comprehensive global training program beginning in August in New York City. This training facilitates the ability for FMAs to immediately contribute to their initial rotation. The program begins with "Welcome Week" where Associates have the opportunity to interact with Citi's senior finance leadership team and network with others within Citi Finance. The week is followed by an intensive program led by internal and external subject matter experts. Topics covered include accounting; modeling; technical skills; and soft skills including presentation skills; communication skills and leadership skills as well as overviews of each of the major Citi businesses and Finance disciplines.
We're looking for motivated MBA graduates who are eager to start their careers at a global organization; tend to think globally; and have an innovative outlook on business. We value diversity and so do you. We'll also be looking for the following:
