Bloomberg Economics offers a comprehensive macroeconomic research service for Bloomberg Terminal subscribers. With more than 25 economists and 100 economics reporters worldwide, Bloomberg has an unrivaled capacity to explain where the global economy is now and where it might be heading.

Bloomberg is seeking an Intern to assist in covering the U.S. and Canada by joining a team of Economics analysts. You will help to provide quick analysis of major data releases and economic trends to a financial audience, as well as collaborating with teams that generate forecasts and creative economic research which adds value for Bloomberg clients.

You'll need to have:

• A passion for research and/or a willingness to dig in and learn about global financial markets, companies and economies
• Minimum two years of undergraduate study completed, with a focus in economics, international economics, or related field
• Background in macroeconomics and understanding of financial markets
• A focus on providing high quality analysis based on data and fact with no bias
• An ability to work as part of a team is essential as the candidate will need to work with other economists on a regular basis and also - on occasion - with Bloomberg editors and economics reporters
• High level ability to use Excel and more sophisticated statistical programs to analyze and present data and generate forecasts
• Availability to work for 10 weeks, beginning in June 2023
• Fluency in a foreign language is a plus
