    Department Overview

    The Private Client Group is the largest segment within Raymond James supporting financial advisors who provide financial planning, investment advisory and securities transaction services to their clients. The ideal candidate is excited to work in a fast-paced environment with a variety of individuals including financial advisors. growing business.

    This particular role calls for someone interested in compensation and retention programs for financial advisors.  The candidate should be detail-oriented and willing to handle a variety of tasks relating to the collection and processing of various client account statements used to support our FA retention program. 

    Job Summary

    To be eligible for the spring associate position you must be pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a business or finance field.

    This is a temporary role.

    Start Date: February 2024

    End Date: Late April/Mid-May 2024

    Work Schedule: 20-30 hours per week for a limited time, determined by department need.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Acts as a liaison to branch managers, financial advisors, division, and sales management. Providing excellent customer service, professionalism, and support.
    • Reviews compensation agreements and ensures that they are calculated and administered correctly from employment agreements, contracts, stock grants, bonuses, schedule of payments, draw and deal level changes, terminated financial advisor balance, pre-approved discount exception accounts, and production matching as well as any other special arrangements.
    • Reviews and processes all financial advisor compensation changes and ensures they are compliant with policies procedures and contracts and escalates any concerns to management.
    • Identifies potential process improvements to increase efficiency in processing or analyzing financial information.
    • Utilizes reporting software to assist in reconciliations related to problem resolution.
    • Specified projects and varied assignments.
    • Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    • Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications, including general ledger and payroll software systems, including Microsoft Office Excel, Access, and Practice Center reporting.
    • Preparing, processing, and maintaining transaction documentation, files, and records.
    • Gathering and compiling information from multiple sources and analyzing the detail appropriately and timely.
    • Responding appropriately to inquiries and dealing with complex transaction issues.
    • Organizational and time management sufficient to prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

    Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

    Education/Previous Experience

    • Pursuing a degree in a business or finance related field.
    • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
