Mr. Cooper's summer internship program offers college students the chance to discover what it's like to work at a leading financial services organization. Our interns deliver innovative solutions to real business challenges and build enduring relationships with their manager and an assigned mentor. The AI/Machine Learning Intern will have great exposure to large amounts of real estate data sets and participate in high-profile projects leveraging data science skills to drive incremental business growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources, ensuring it is ready for machine learning tasks. This may involve handling missing values, outliers, and data normalization
• Assist in developing and training machine learning models using Python • Implement data quality checks and monitoring for data pipelines and databases to ensure data accuracy and integrity
• Optimize and automate existing model pipelines
• Contribute to feature selection and engineering to enhance the predictive power of machine learning models.
• Collaborate with data scientists and machine learning engineers to gain exposure to advanced machine learning techniques and tools
• Continuously learn and stay updated on the latest developments in the field
Basic Qualifications
• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university or have graduated within one year of start date (June 2024)
• Majoring in Computer Science or related degree
• Proficient in Python and other ML programming languages
• Experience in statistical modeling
• Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship (Currently, our organization is unable to support candidates that are on OPT, CPT or candidates that will need sponsorship, now or in the future)
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with common AI/ML algorithms and libraries
• Ability to communicate effectively

Pay Range: $33,500.00 - $37,000.00
