Mr. Cooper's summer internship program offers college students the chance to discover what it's like to work at a leading financial services organization. Our interns deliver innovative solutions to real business challenges and build enduring relationships with their manager and an assigned mentor. The Data Science Intern will have great exposure to real-world real estate data and participate in high-profile projects leveraging data science skills to make an impact.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Conduct basic ETL process of data from various sources and prepare data serving different needs from analysts and data scientists

• Develop solutions to unique business problems utilizing research, statistical analysis, and problem-solving tools and techniques

• Document and maintain data science dictionaries

• Collaborate with both internal and external resources on QA and UAT of various data science initiatives

Basic Qualifications

• Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university or have graduated within one year of start date (June 2024)

• Majoring in Computer Science or related degree

• Proficient in SQL and Python

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and visualization tools

• Candidates must have authorization to work permanently in the US without the need for sponsorship (Currently, our organization is unable to support candidates that are on OPT, CPT or candidates that will need sponsorship, now or in the future)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in statistical modeling and data integration

• Ability to communicate effectively
