    Department Overview

    In the Independent Contractor Division (ICD), we serve as dedicated partners to our independent business owners and financial advisors, helping them grow, navigate challenges, and deliver meaningful impact for their clients, associates and communities. We serve as the bridge between advisors and the home office, ensuring that every interaction strengthens trust, efficiency, and growth. We are a highly collaborative and energetic relationship management team who is at the beginning of a multi-year transformation to optimize the overall owner/branch/FA experience, create a divisional management service model, promote consistency and standardization across the divisions and create opportunities for future business growth.

    Job Summary

    The seasonal associate will support the Independent Contractor Division (ICD) leadership team by assisting in the development of Advisor Profiles that help inform strategic decision-making, advisor engagement, and business planning efforts. The role will involve gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing advisor and business data, as well as supporting key initiatives aligned with the division's growth and service strategies. In addition, the seasonal associate will contribute to a variety of cross-functional projects that advance ICD strategic priorities, improve advisor experiences, and enhance operational effectiveness. Through this experience, the student will gain exposure to wealth management operations, strategic planning, data analysis, executive-level project work, and leadership decision-making within a leading financial services organization.

    The fall associate position is a temporary role.

    Start Date: Tuesday, September 8, 2026

    End Date: Friday, December 4, 2026

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, up to 24 hours per week.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Support the development of Advisor Profiles by researching, compiling, and analyzing advisor business, growth, and engagement data.
    • Assist ICD leadership in identifying trends, opportunities, and insights that support strategic decision-making and advisor-centric initiatives.
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and executive summaries that communicate key findings and recommendations to division leadership.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on projects aligned with ICD strategic priorities, including advisor experience, business growth, and operational effectiveness.
    • Conduct data analysis and research to support strategic planning efforts, business reviews, and special leadership initiatives.
    • Contribute to the execution of division-wide projects by tracking progress, coordinating deliverables, and supporting project management activities.
    • Gain exposure to wealth management operations, advisor business models, strategic planning, and executive leadership decision-making within a leading financial services organization.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    Knowledge of -

    • Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Basic business analytics, research methods, and data interpretation techniques
    • Principles of business strategy, organizational effectiveness, or financial services concepts
    • Data visualization and reporting tools used to communicate business insights and trends

    Skill in -

    • Analyzing and organizing data to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities
    • Preparing professional presentations, reports, and executive summaries
    • Written and verbal communication with diverse stakeholders and business partners

    Ability to -

    • Work independently while managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines

    Educational/Previous Experience Requirements

    • Freshman or Sophomore standing (December 2027-May 2029 graduates) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
    • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
    • Eligible applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including beyond OPT/EAD).
