Internship Program Overview

Department Overview
Raymond James Bank’s Corporate & Real Estate Banking division manages a portfolio of syndicated and direct loan commitments to borrowers located primarily in the U.S. and Canada. The team of professionals that makes up the Corporate & Real Estate Banking group is dedicated to purchasing and originating corporate (“C&I”) and commercial real estate (“CRE”) loans. The CRE Business Unit focuses on institutional-quality lending, including syndicated loan arrangements (secured by both Project Secured Loans and facilities to Real Estate Investment Trusts “REITs”), as well as direct lending to RJF clients.
Job Summary
Operating under general supervision, th e internship candidate should be able to demonstrate knowledge and skills obtained through education, training and / or prior internships to assist with both the underwriting of new Commercial Real Estate (“CRE”) transactions, as well as monitoring an active portfolio of existing CRE loans. This role resides at Raymond James Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of Raymond James Financial (NYSE: RJF / Fortune 400). Specifically, the position will be located at Raymond James Bank’s Home Office in St. Petersburg, FL, where you’ll work alongside a seasoned team of CRE professionals, including both Banking Officers and other Credit Associates.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities
Research and analyze financial statements, interpret findings, and prepare various reports for senior management
Prepare detailed Cash Flow projections at both the REIT and project level utilizing Excel and third-party modeling software (i.e., Argus)
Perform research to evaluate new loan transaction opportunities, utilizing third party diligence tools, etc.
Prepare and deliver written and oral presentations relating to CRE transactions
Maintains accurate and organized documentation and monitors compliance with terms of loans and accounts
Joins in deal discussions as is related to potential syndicated and direct loan opportunities
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of
Concepts, practices and procedures of CRE credit analysis
Finance and/or accounting principles, practices and procedures
Skill in
Reading, interpreting, analyzing and applying information from credit reports, rent rolls, and appraisals
Researching, interpreting and analyzing complex financial statements
Excel modeling and computation to generate Cash Flow projections
Maintaining documentation files
Monitoring compliance on loans and accounts
Preparing and delivering oral and written presentations
Performing market and transaction due diligence
Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications
Ability to
Manage multiple tasks with changing priorities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
Partner with others to accomplish objectives
Attend to detail while maintaining a big picture orientation

Educational/Previous Experience
Junior standing (December 2026-May 2027 graduates) pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
