    Internship Program Overview

    To be eligible for the Summer 2027 Internship Program, you must be a junior-standing candidate pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree with an expected graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028.

    Candidates who successfully complete the internship program may have the opportunity to transition into a full-time role at Raymond James following graduation.

    Department Overview

    Raymond James Bank's Private Client Banking (PCB) division supports the complex financial needs of clients by offering a comprehensive suite of lending and banking solutions, including Securities Based Lending (SBL), residential mortgages, tailored lending solutions and cash management products.

    PCB combines field-based Banking Consultants with Home Office sales, analytics, pricing, product management, risk, finance, and operational support teams to deliver exceptional client outcomes.

    This internship provides exposure to multiple areas of the lending business, including advisor engagement, sales enablement, pricing strategy, product management, business intelligence, portfolio analytics, and strategic decision making. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting initiatives that drive growth, profitability, advisor adoption, and client engagement across the Securities Based Lending and Mortgage businesses.

    Job Summary

    Under general supervision, the Private Client Banking Strategy, Analytics & Sales Intern will support strategic initiatives across the Securities Based Lending (SBL), Mortgage, Margin, and Tailored Lending businesses. The intern will work closely with teams responsible for sales enablement, advisor support, education and engagement, pricing strategy, business analytics, portfolio management, product management, finance, and risk management.

    This role combines analytical and business-focused responsibilities, including dashboard development, performance reporting, financial modeling, Return on Equity (ROE) analysis, pricing strategy, advisor support, educational content development, competitive research, and strategic project work. The intern will gain exposure to the full lending lifecycle and develop an understanding of how lending products are positioned, priced, managed, and supported across Raymond James Bank.

    This internship is designed to provide meaningful exposure to lending product strategy, advisor engagement, pricing optimization, portfolio analytics, and business development, preparing participants for future careers within Raymond James Bank and the broader financial services industry.

    Start Date: June 2, 2027 (based on internship program schedule)

    End Date: August 13, 2027 (based on internship program schedule)

    Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Analytics, Reporting & Business Intelligence

    • Analyze lending, sales, operational, and portfolio data to support strategic initiatives and business decision-making.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions using Tableau, Excel, Qlik, SQL, Access, Power BI, and other business intelligence tools.
    • Create reports measuring loan production, advisor adoption, utilization trends, commission activity, portfolio growth, profitability, and client engagement metrics.
    • Support forecasting, financial modeling, performance measurement, and business case analyses.
    • Collect, organize, validate, and analyze information from multiple data sources to ensure reporting accuracy and integrity.
    • Prepare management reporting packages, executive summaries, and presentations highlighting business performance, key trends, and recommendations.

    Securities Based Lending (SBL) Support

    • Support the Securities Based Lending Consulting team by analyzing production metrics, advisor adoption trends, utilization rates, and portfolio performance.
    • Assist with advisor and branch professional inquiries regarding SBL products, processes, educational resources, and sales support materials.
    • Participate in portfolio reviews to identify growth opportunities and trends affecting client utilization and advisor adoption.
    • Assist with annual reviews of discounted lending relationships and evaluate pricing performance and profitability implications.
    • Support development and maintenance of advisor-facing SBL presentations, educational content, and communication materials.
    • Conduct competitive analysis and market research related to securities-based lending products and pricing strategies.

    Mortgage Business Support

    • Analyze mortgage production, application volume, pipeline activity, referral trends, and funding performance.
    • Assist in evaluating mortgage pricing competitiveness and business performance.
    • Support mortgage reporting initiatives and performance tracking.
    • Create advisor-facing educational materials and communications supporting mortgage solutions.
    • Assist in measuring the success of mortgage campaigns, advisor engagement efforts, and growth initiatives.
    • Collaborate with Mortgage Sales, Operations, and Product Management teams on strategic projects and process improvement initiatives.

    Pricing Strategy & Product Management

    • Support pricing activities for Securities Based Lending, Mortgage, Margin, and Tailored Lending products.
    • Assist in pricing new loans utilizing Return on Equity (ROE) methodologies.
    • Conduct profitability assessments, break-even analyses, and modeling of proposed pricing programs and promotional campaigns.
    • Analyze portfolio performance and identify trends impacting product profitability and business growth.
    • Assist Product and Pricing Strategy teams with product reviews, competitive assessments, and strategic initiatives.
    • Support development of analytical tools and models designed to improve account-level pricing, portfolio management, and business insights.
    • Recommend enhancements to reporting, modeling, and pricing tools that improve business decision-making.

    Sales Enablement & Advisor Support

    • Respond to routine inquiries from advisors, branch professionals, Banking Consultants, and internal business partners.
    • Assist with development and distribution of educational materials, presentations, sales resources, and internal communications.
    • Maintain communication hubs, reporting repositories, and shared team resources.
    • Support coordination of meetings, webinars, training programs, educational events, and advisor engagement initiatives.
    • Conduct market research and compile findings for strategic business projects.
    • Collaborate with business partners to identify opportunities for process improvements and enhanced advisor experiences.
    • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Educational / Previous Experience Requirements

    • Junior standing (December 2027 through May 2028 graduates) pursuing a bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Accounting, Data Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
    • Strong academic performance with demonstrated analytical aptitude preferred.
    • Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and/or training approved by Human Resources.
    • Eligible applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require visa sponsorship now or in the future (including beyond OPT/EAD).
