Evercore is seeking to hire a summer analyst for its Financial Institutions Group, with a specific focus on banks, within our advisory business to be based in Chicago, IL.
Group Description:
The Financial Institutions Group is responsible for covering a broad range of corporate clients and financial sponsors across Banks, Specialty Finance and Wealth / Asset Management. The group has a highly successful track-record of advising on many notable transactions across deal types including company sales, acquisitions, mergers-of-equals, private placements, activism & raid defense assignments, joint ventures, among others.
Program Description:
The Evercore Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week program designed to provide highly motivated undergraduates with a representative experience in strategic advisory and mergers and acquisitions. The Program seeks intelligent, mature individuals with the desire and flexibility to work in a boutique environment and learn on the job. In addition, Summer Analysts must demonstrate the ability to work on several projects concurrently and possess the desire to learn and work hard. Evercore provides a robust internal training program to get Summer Analysts ready to hit the desk and add value quickly.
Evercore offers highly qualified Summer Analysts the chance to advance more rapidly and take on more responsibility than in traditional bulge-bracket firms, along with exposure to blue-chip clients, and the chance to be part of a rapidly growing, highly regarded firm.
Specific Qualifications:
Candidates must have a strong and demonstrated interest in investment banking with solid quantitative and analytical skills, as well as the ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm's clients, with a focus on financial institutions. Knowledge of accounting, valuation, corporate finance, and business strategy is a pre-requisite. Responsibilities for an analyst include working on financial and valuation analyses, complex financial and accounting issues, industry and competitive analysis, due diligence, client presentation materials, management and execution of live deal situations, and support of new business development.

Expected Base Salary Range: $120,000 - $120,000
