Hedge Fund and Alternative Asset Operations Intern Acadian Asset Management LLC is a Boston-headquartered investment management firm with wholly owned affiliates located in Singapore, London, Tokyo and Sydney. As of September 30, 2018, the firm managed approximately US$99 billion on behalf of major pension funds, endowments, foundations, governments and other investors based in the U.S. and abroad Position Overview: The Intern will act in a support role for projects within the Hedge Fund and Alternative Asset Operations group. The person will also help support day to day functions, work with internal teams and external contacts and work with team members on various other daily responsibilities. Responsibilities: * Operational support for Acadian Hedge Fund and Alternative Asset Operations group to include data validation, support for the investment process and working with third party providers including updating documentation and contributing to projects as assigned * Collaborate and correspond with internal Acadian departments, prime brokers, derivative counterparties and custodian banks * Review daily start of day (SOD) position uploads to order management systems (OMS) * Review daily share discrepancies between SS&C and Custodian * Assistance with Corporate Actions and Fair Value Pricing across Alternative Strategies * Enhance documentation around daily procedures * Participate in portfolio finance yield enhancements processes Qualifications: * Pursuit of a Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics or similar * Interest in financial markets and alternative strategies * Proficient in MS Office including SharePoint * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality; focus on problem solving * Ability to multi task and work well under deadlines * Detail oriented, flexible, ability to work independently and within a team-orientated environment To view all of Acadians open positions please visit the Careers section of our website at http://www.acadian-asset.com/Careers/job-opportunities.
