DESCRIPTION

CME Group is currently looking for an accounting intern for the summer.

Responsibilities/Principal Accountabilities:

• Assist teams within the Accounting Department with the month end financial close process. Tasks may include recording journal entries in Workday, performing account reconciliations, pulling support and data requested by auditors, preparing or updating spreadsheets.

• Within Accounts Payable, process supplier invoices in Workday, perform supplier maintenance.

• Within Accounts Receivable, process month-end billing and collections.

• Work on special projects or ad hoc projects for Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable, Travel & Expense or Corporate Accounting Teams.

Skills / Software Requirements:

• Previous work experience in a corporate work environment (preferred)

• Ability to work independently and communicate well

• Proficiency in Microsoft Products - Excel, Word, Outlook

Education:

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate business degree as a finance or accounting major

• 3.5 / 4.0 G.P.A

Typical hours over the summer (May-August) 35-40 hours weekly
