  • Responsibilities

    The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the human resource activities of the Company. The Coordinator will need to be flexible to work some evenings and weekends in order to accommodate a 24/7 business environment. This position is responsible for maintaining employee files, answering questions regarding benefits and policies for employees and for entering all new hires into the HR system. The HR Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the highest level of integrity, professionalism, fairness, and confidentiality in all aspects of job performance.

    WHAT YOU'LL DO

    • Answer routine inquiries from inside and outside the company regarding company guidelines and procedures, benefits, employment verifications, and job openings.
    • Maintain active and terminated employee files, both paper and electronic, in line with company guidelines and government regulations. Retain records in line with record retention requirements.
    • Process terminations in HRIS and send required documentation within timeframe according to HR regulations.
    • Answer incoming calls for HR Department, maintain HR email inbox, and provide analytics reporting as requested.
    • Maintain daily updates and monitor for progress of candidate's background and drug screen completion status with 3rd party vendor, and rescind offers of employment, if needed.
    • Process all new hire and rehire paperwork and activities including I-9 verification and administration, onboarding forms, and entry into HRIS.
    • Display a cheerful and positive attitude at all times and provide consistent and exceptional service to external vendors, customers and co-workers.
    • Treat co-workers with dignity and respect and exhibit role model leadership behavior at all times, while adhering to policies and procedures of the Company.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • BS in human resources or related field preferred
    • PHR and/or SHRM-CP preferred
    • Minimum two years' experience in administrative or human resources work
    • Experience using HRIS, Dayforce knowledge preferred
    • Mastery of Microsoft Office suite
    • Ability to work independently
    • Able to manage multiple projects and produce timely and effective results
    • Typing skills are required
    • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work
    • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees
    • Ability to exercise poise, tactfulness and diplomacy in order to handle sensitive and confidential situations
