The Company Aflac ** ** The Location Columbus, GA The Division Shared Services/Facilities & Support The Opportunity Captain Pilot Job Summary Corporate Pilot - operating turbojet super-midsize aircraft Pilot-in-command responsible for assuring safe, efficient, regulatory compliant, and comfortable operations of the Aflac operated aircraft ** ** Principal Duties & Responsibilities Acts as pilot in command with final authority for the operation of the aircraft; conducts flight operations in strict compliance with company policies, procedures, and federal regulations; maintains current requirements with regard to medical, training, and hourly flight requirements Conduct safe and efficient flights in company aircraft; ensures the safety of passengers, crew, support personnel, cargo, equipment, and the comfortable operation of the aircraft; ensures that all flight and ground operations comply with federal aviation regulations Supervises the flight crew; communicates with crew members and support personnel before, during, and after an assigned flight; trains and develops crew members in techniques, methods, and day-to-day activities in accordance with company policies and standard operating procedures; ensures completion and distribution of all necessary paperwork relating to assigned flight Performs assigned additional duties as a team member and adheres to the department/companys guidelines, policy, and procedures Performs other related duties assigned by the chief pilot or aviation director Education & Experience Bachelor's Degree Business Administration or related field Three years of job related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience 4,000 total flight hours/ 1,000 hours Pilot in-command/ 1,000 hours multi engine Possession of an FAA Airline Transport Pilot certificate (Airplane Multi- Engine Land) No Violations or accidents Ability to pass background check Job Knowledge & Skills Must be able to successfully complete G280 aircraft type rating Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with Aflacs senior management, and internal/external business contacts; ability to exhibit and maintain professionalism in accordance with corporate standards Must be team oriented Possession of a valid driver's license and a good driving record; adherence to all aspects of Aflac's driving policy; ability to be insurable by the company insurance carrier Core Competencies Action Oriented, Customer Focus, Adaptability, Listening, Ethics and Values, Integrity and Trust Functional Competencies Conflict Management, Business Acumen, Command Skills, Interpersonal Savvy, Comfort Around Higher Management, Dealing With Paradox, Decision Quality, Problem Solving The Benefits Aflac is known for treating our employees exceptionally well.
