Job Description

We're looking for a talented, well-rounded Associate UX Designer that can help Alkami continue to create world-class user interfaces that visually amaze, but are simple to use.

Responsibilities:

• Own the Themes design process, working with Alkami clients to design custom desktop and mobile digital banking themes and creating digital design assets required for the front-end development and native mobile development teams.
• Help ensure the usability and appearance of the Alkami product suite.
• Play a key role in the visual design of new features.
• Strive for design perfection, but love to iterate and release.
• Ability to solve design problems, not just paint pretty pictures.

Support the UX Team in:

• Alkami Experience Lab evangelization: Create recurring digests to be shared internally within the organization and externally with clients as well as coordinate and facilitate AXL communications (e.g. emails, newsletters, etc.).
• Support research activities: Help create test plans, recruit users, schedule users, moderate tests, create video clip highlights, and create research findings summary.
• Create working prototypes and screen mockups.
• Identify and maintain compliance with ADA accessibility standards and in-house design system assets.
• Deliver required assets to product strategy and development teams.
• Obsessed with user-centered design practices and have an impeccable eye for detail and design (e.g. typography, color, balance, etc.).
• Additional activities: Support the Product Sales and Client Relations team with marketing and presentation design tasks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Design, Computer Science, Psychology or related fields (or equivalent experience).
• 1-3 years of experience in creating beautiful and thoughtful digital user experiences.
• Solid digital portfolio of visual and interaction design work.
• Proficient in Sketch, Invision, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Google Slides.
• Ability to work tightly with a cross-functional team of developers, product owners, and management to guide solutions into production.
