Job Description The Client Group Summer Internship Program provides students with opportunities to learn about specific strategies we offer to clients, business development and client service, as well as the opportunity to develop their communication skills. Summer Internships are available on the following teams: Retail & Institutional Sales: working closely with sales teams to conduct competitive investment, aid in the sales process, and produce activity reports for the sales force, Client Service & Global Strategic Initiatives: partnering closely with associates to respond to client requests for reporting and other portfolio servicing materials as well as data analytics in searching for potential mandates. Requests For Proposal: supporting RFP team with creating new and editing existing responses to proposals, updating product language, gathering and organizing content held within our fund prospectuses. Business Development (Fixed Income, Equities, Multi-Asset, and Alternatives): positioning of AB strategies and assisting with conducting competitive and performance analyses, generating reports and preparing presentations. Global Product Development: conducting data research and analysis to assist with the creation of key programs used by our sales force, including our Capital Markets Outlook. Marketing & Communications: executing marketing priorities via email communications, print, web, brand development, and design in close partnership with sales and tracking effectiveness of key initiatives. Job Qualifications Candidates should be top academic performers, be interested in the investment management industry and meet the following criteria: May or June 2020 Bachelors degree candidates in business, finance, economics, math or liberal arts Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Strong analytical and communication skills Detail-oriented, ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player Client-focused with a high degree of professionalism, motivation and initiative Job Requirements Candidates must be available to work full-time from June through August. It is not permissible to simultaneously take academic classes or hold other employment that will conflict with the internship schedule. Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a thorough background check. Department Description Global Product Development is responsible for product development strategies that will support growth and asset retention of the firms Retail, Institutional and Private Client businesses globally. The objective is to find creative ways to marry the investment capabilities of the firmfixed income, equity, multi-asset and alternative investmentswith product offerings that provide compelling solutions for clients, are competitive and enhance ABs brand, and accumulate assets over time. Business Development, Request For Proposal, Marketing & Communications, and Market Strategy sits at the intersection of Distribution and Investment Management, helping to drive the investment product messaging and materials that support the sales force. Team members evaluate competitive positioning in their investment platforms, work closely with sales management to plan product focus and campaign strategy, and provide product content and collateral for RFPs. Working with investment team leadership, they garner support for campaigns and create training programs to increase brand and product awareness internally and externally. Sales and Client Service encompasses both the Institutional and Retail Distribution channels. Institutional Investments focuses on delivering the full scope of the firms investment services to institutions around the world. This group manages assets for institutional clients in more than 40 countries, including private, public and Taft-Hartley pension plans; foundations and endowments; insurance companies; central banks; and governments as well as aims to build consultant advocacy with the largest consulting firms globally. Our range of services, global research coverage and ability to service clients in virtually all parts of the world make AB a preeminent resource for Institutional investors worldwide. Within AB Investments (Retail) , Regional Consultants and Relationship Managers partner with Financial Advisors to offer individual investors a diverse line of investment vehicles including separately managed accounts, variable annuities, retirement planning products, and a wide range of mutual funds that span the worlds markets and vary by investment style. These teams recognize that client solutions are not the same for each investor and therefore have designed an array of investment solutions that can meet almost all investors needs.
