Health Care Reform Related to Commercial and Specialty Business Intern will assist with research and the tracking of implementation guidance released from state and federal agencies. The intern will be responsible for updating our internal website. Intern will assist with the drafting of internal communications updating staff on implementation status as well as policy white papers on various topics. Regulatory and Legislative Review Support - Intern will assist in the review of proposed and final regulations in states where we do business, as well as Federal rules. Intern will assist in the creation of assessments of final legislation. Intern will also assist in the organization of our internal websites. Research Support - Intern will assist with research relating to health care reform, as necessary. Industry Knowledge Intern will be responsible keeping up with industry reports and news both locally and nationally. Intern may be responsible for analyzing and communicating report findings to appropriate staff. *If selected for an interview, candidates will be asked to submit a short writing sample. This person also must: - Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, in a team environment and on an individual basis - Be self-motivated - Possess strong analytical and problem solving skills - Possess strong written and oral communication skills - Be able to analyze detailed legislation, regulation, and guidance - Ideal candidate has understanding of state and federal legislative and regulatory processes - Be currently enrolled in a related program of study at an accredited college or university, ideally in a public policy or related program.
