The IT Portfolio Coordinator Internship is a 6-18 month program intended to introduce the intern to Anthem IT, while working on special projects within the Medical Care Management (MCM) Portfolio team. The MCM Portfolio team manages project intake, execution, and release management for a suite of Anthems care management IT applications by providing oversight, coordination, reporting and support to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery. Primary responsibilities may include but are not limited to: * Assist with capturing project objectives, costs, timelines, accomplishments, resources, risks and other critical project delivery factors for portfolio reporting * Assist with project, initiative, portfolio, and cost center budgeting process * Conduct analysis to identify opportunities and/or implement recommendations to improve processes, project delivery, or * cost efficiency * Assist Technical Project Managers with project execution tasks Qualifications * Currently pursuing a BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university required * Academic focus in Information Technology, Finance, or a related discipline preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) strongly preferred * Previous work experience strongly preferred * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Please include an unofficial transcript with your application *PLEASE NOTE: The internship is expected to begin on May 21, 2018 and will last for at least 6 months. The intern will be expected to work up to 40 hours/week during the summer, and part-time hours during the school year, and is expected to be onsite for the duration of the internship.
