Intern, Enterprise Risk Management Summary This Los Angeles based position is with the Enterprise Risk Management (Enterprise Risk) department of Ares Management LLC. This paid intern position is full-time (40 hours/week during regular business hours) during the summer. The length of the internship is 10 weeks with the potential to extend beyond that time depending on business needs, project requirements, and intern availability. Duties and Responsibilities Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis on various business risks determining overall risk exposure levels Conduct research Gather and analyze data for various initiatives and summarize in report format Collaborate with internal business groups on key initiatives to strategize and form creative solutions Assist in identifying gaps in existing processes and procedures Document processes and design/create organizational playbooks Assist in drafting Enterprise Risk Team presentations Assist in ad hoc projects related to annual risk initiatives Qualifications Undergraduate student currently enrolled (Rising Junior or Senior) Minimum of 3.0 GPA Previous intern or work experience is preferred Requirements Strong interpersonal, analytic, and writing skills Strong computer skills, including internet research and use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Excellent organization, time management and attention-to-detail abilities Excellent communication skills and ability to conduct professional dialogue clearly and concisely Strong problem-solving skills, innovative mindset Self-motivated and able to work independently Reports To ** Head of Enterprise Risk ** COMPANY DESCRIPTION Ares Management Corporation (Ares or the Firm) is a publicly traded, leading global alternative asset manager with approximately $125 billion of assets under management ("AUM") and over $1,000 employees.
