    Job Description

    We’re building our Engineering team at Assembly, a fast-growing start-up based in Los Angeles! Our peer-to-peer recognition platform offers organizations a better way to engage employees and drive organizational culture. 

    As one of our first team members, you will report directly to the VP of Engineering. Your contribution will help enhance the work experience in our customer’s organizations by enabling employees to praise and congratulate one another for their hard work.

     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Build awesome web experiences using Node.js, Typescript and React

    • Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code

    • Design, model and build services to support new features and products.

    • Collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to deliver compelling products

    • Deploy, troubleshoot, and maintain our systems in production

     

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • 5+ years of relevant software development experience working with NodeJS, Express, React or similar frameworks.

    • Experience designing and building REST API and service architecture.

    • Knowledge of front-end technologies such as React.js, HTML5 and CSS3.

    • Experience with unit and integration testing.

    • Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Kafka, Kinesis, Lambda, and Spark or similar).
