About Us
Credit Management provides front line credit and risk ownership including writing credit papers, performing credit analysis, modeling projection and enterprise valuation analysis, coordinating with internal partners (such as Credit Risk, relationship managers, global partners, and product teams), client engagement on credit risk and structuring, and delivering sound recommendations based on robust business, relationship, and industry analysis using experienced judgment and conforming with internal credit policies/guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
Role Expectations
Cover a diverse portfolio of U.S. headquartered clients in Corporates (revenues $50 million+) and Global Banking (revenues $5 billion+), consisting of both Investment Grade and High Yield names with concentration in certain sectors i.e. TMT, Healthcare.
Proactively monitor ongoing credit quality of assigned portfolio and its industry, including preparing Annual and Quarterly Reviews and tracking and testing covenants.
Develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with supported front line business units and credit approval unit (CAU)
Lead the underwriting process on syndicated and bilateral deals, in conjunction with collaborating with various partners, including junior bankers, Internal Legal/Compliance to complete the process from start to end.
Provide in-depth analysis of credit including loan structure, applicant’s business and industry profile, historical financial performance, cash flow projections, EV and peer analysis
Recommend appropriate risk rating for each customer/transaction as required
Mentor credit analysts on effective underwriting and communication skills
Build a solid understanding of HSBC products and services within Commercial Banking and the broader organization.
Assist with credit reviews, Internal Audits, Regulatory Liaison office as applicable
Proven track record to remain current on all required training classes, including credit policy certification
