    JOB SUMMARY:

    The Trust Administration Associate will assist Fiduciary Advisors and Trust Officers in the daily administration of Trust & Fiduciary Services relationships and engagements as well as handle additional responsibilities as identified by the Chief Fiduciary Officer (such as ensuring process consistency for trust staff, effective on-boarding of new business, leading Trust Associate projects, etc.).

    RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES, AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

    • Assist Trust Officers and/or Fiduciary Advisors in the management of trust relationships, including on-boarding, administration, and accounting closings

    • Oversee Trust Associates in execution of Daily Account Transactions: bill paying to be processed by Operations, review of daily transaction history, prepare wire documents as needed, review daily overdraft reports, and check reject log

    • Prepare correspondence and reports for Trust Officers and/or Fiduciary Advisors

    • Work directly with clients as requested by the Trust Officers and/or Fiduciary Advisors, and research customer inquiries in a timely manner

    • Provide support to Trust Officers and/or Fiduciary advisors in their business development efforts

    • Ensure that incoming mail is processed and delivered to Trust Officers and/or Fiduciary Advisors

    • Research client inquiries as directed by Trust Officers and/or Fiduciary Advisors

    • Prepare discretionary review forms in support of Trust Officers and/or Fiduciary Advisors and participate in such evaluations

    • Initiate workflows and transaction, including preparation of requisite paper work (memos and transaction tickets) to be processed by Operations

    • Assist other trust department personnel as may be requested

    • Supervise and assist with the completion of projects as requested

    • Attend training as available and requested

    • Review monthly fee calculation and fee related transactions reports for Trust Officers and/or Fiduciary Advisors

    • Miscellaneous scanning, indexing, filing, file retrieval, and preparation of documents for relationship file maintenance purposes

    • Retrieve necessary reports for Reg 9 initial and annual administrative reviews for Trust Officers and/or Fiduciary Advisors and complete the review process for review and approval

    • Provide backup assistance when other Associates are on vacation or sick

    • Train new Associates and provide ongoing advice and mentoring

    • Take the lead in and implement significant additional projects as identified by the Chief Fiduciary Officer

    • Contribute to the fostering of a strong, team-oriented, positive culture

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required

    • Educational certifications (CTFA, CFA) preferred

    • 5 years working in a Trust department of a Bank

    • Ability to provide training to trust associates on systems, processes, and policies

    • A professional attitude and appearance

    • Ability to multitask and maintain thorough documentation of activities

    • Ability to draft professional and effective letters and presentations

    • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

    • Familiarity with Trust Accounting Systems

    • Ability to work under pressure

    BASE PAY:

    $68,928.00 - $84,048.00

    Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
