Join Mizuho as a Quantitative Strategist supporting our FIC trading desks. As a Strat you will be building tools and models to facilitate the day-to-day sales and trading business.
Summary
The Quantitative Strategy team is looking to hire a junior STRAT to build, support front office (Sales/Trading) tools and models
Major Responsibilities
Building, maintaining Python and Spreadsheet tools for live market analysis, Risk PnL explain, pricing and risk management
Collaborate with Front Office IT to design, construct and maintain market data feeds between vendor and in-house systems
Supporting Interest Rates. FX and XVA trading desks, with the ability to model all related products pricing in C++ and Python
Building/maintaining database queries for real time or historical time series analysis with vendors databases and systems
Support and enhance e-trading platform analytics for interest rate swaps, corporate bonds and other related assets
Requirements
Min. 2~3 years experience working in a Front Office quantitative role, preferably for a sell side broker-dealer or swaps-dealer
Experience and strong Python programming skills, including Numpy and Pandas (reasonable C++ skills would be a plus)
Self starter, solution oriented and good communication skills, working well under pressure (Front Office experience a plus)
Education
The expected base salary ranges from $95,000-$160,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
