Synopsis of the role: At Equifax, the Global Security 12-week Internship Program is a gateway to full-time career paths for current university students. The program provides meaningful projects with direct impact on our business as well as exposure to senior leaders and opportunities to network.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Respond to reports of security incidents and initial triage and engagement of the appropriate team members for subsequent escalations.

• Engage in incident response related tasks, network and general security tool monitoring, with support from more senior personnel.

• Leverage foundational IT/CS knowledge to identify/respond to common attacks through common vectors and methods, with support from senior team members.

• Create automation infrastructure and components.

• Work to complete access control requests from application and support teams.

• Troubleshoot access control issues for application, support and system teams.

• Work with and assist Audit Teams with control testing.

• Perform in and assist with yearly Disaster Recovery testing.

• Experience solving basic analysis and analytical problems, programmatically, with little guidance.

WHAT EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science/engineering, management information systems, or similar majors.

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university with a target graduation date of December 2023 or May 2024.

• Broad OS familiarity (Win/Unix/Linux/BSD), to be used in system maintenance, configuration, and streamlining data feeds.
