Here’s what you can expect in a typical day as an Audit Manager:
Support the US FCR Audit team in delivering annual Financial Crimes Risk (FCR) audit plan and effectively participate and / or lead large and complex audits on a risk based approach.
Able to work in a dynamic and multinational culture and cope with high pressure and be a team player who can proactively engage with stakeholders and team members.
Be a confident communicator with excellent soft people skills and management skills.
Provide analytical support to the FCR audit colleagues in US / globally to improve the effectiveness of sampling selection and audit testing as well as continuous auditing.
Supports and participate in global initiatives to represent US FCR Audit team on matters related to FCR Models, Data Analytics etc.
Assist / support or lead a team of related professionals in assigned audits
Attend / participate in audit tollgates / governance meetings where required to represent the GIA function
Clearly communicate financial crime risk issues and associated risks to the stakeholders and assist the Senior Audit Manager in identifying the root causes and possible strategic implications where necessary.
Lead and or support execution of ongoing continuous monitoring activities
Support the ongoing analysis of businesses’ risk profiles and updates of the FCR Audit universe in line with emerging FCR risks impacting the US and the Group.
Professional training opportunities may be provided such as Association of Certified Anti Money laundering Specialists (ACAMS)/ International Compliance Association (ICA) Certification.
For this role, HSBC targets a fixed pay range between $84,774 and $131,933.
The final fixed pay offer will depend on the candidate and a number of variables, including but not limited to, role responsibilities, skill set, depth of experience and education, licensing/certification requirements, internal relativity, and specific work location.

Requirements
Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
Be available to undertake the travel required for this role, i.e. Up to 30% international travel to lead or participate in FCR Audits in US and globally.
Willing to undertake the training/study required in this role, i.e. Certified Andy-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMs) and an Advanced Anti-Money Laundering qualification such as the ICA.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills who can adapt style and approach to the audience and message to be delivered
Be a team player who can contribute productively to team objectives, leading activities to achieve shared goals
Understanding of the regulatory frameworks and financial crimes compliance requirements associated with financial services preferable
An analytical thinker who is confident approaching areas outside of your expertise in a thorough and detailed manner, getting to the heart of the key features and aspects quickly
Quantitatively capable.
1+ years of hands on work experience in SQL, SAS, Qlickview, Spotfire, Python and other analytical and visualization tools preferable
Hands on experience or strong interest in modelling including (but not limited to) both traditional and machine learning techniques.
Preferably bachelors/masters in IT or Statistics.
Good understanding of transaction monitoring and customer screening systems
