The team includes over 80 bankers located in New York, San Francisco, Mexico City, Bogota, São Paulo, and Santiago de Chile. Within M&A North America, the team is organized along seven primary industry groups: Materials / Minerals / Mining, Power & Utilities, General Industrials & Middle Market Financial Sponsors, Consumer, Financial Institutions, Chemicals, and TMT. Within M&A Latin America, the team is based in New York and in Latin America, organized geographically along four regions: Mexico, Brazil, Andean Region and Southern Cone, and covers all industries. BNP Paribas Advisory Americas is a leading M&A advisor in Latin America, commanding top M&A league table positions in several key markets in the region. Our Equity Capital Markets team operates out of New York and executes transactions in all industries. It covers both North and Latin America. Responsibilities: * Assist on the marketing and execution of M&A transactions in accordance with BNP Paribas standards and processes * Assist in implementation of BNP Paribas internal project administration processes, including * Mandate approval process (using proprietary mandate approval tool CF Prime) * Conflict checks (leveraging COSIMA proprietary tool) * Client onboarding, KYC and recertification (using MAOS tool) * Global Control Room continuous communication * Marketing Log maintenance * BNP Paribas Project Master maintenance. * Perform industry and company specific research, and strategic analyses using BNP Paribas analysis matrix * Participate in the preparation of pitches and marketing materials in compliance with BNP Paribas internal rules and templates * Perform financial analysis and build detailed financial models presenting balance sheet * Perform business valuations utilizing the discounted cash flow valuation methodologies as well as public market and transaction multiples in accordance with BNP Paribas BVT (Business Valuation Team) internal methodologies, in particular regarding: * Cost of Capital computation model (proprietary direct method) * Cash Flow Fade proprietary DCF terminal value methodology * Comparable companies beta deleveraging (factoring in beta of pension assets and liabilities) * Comparable companies EBIT and EBITDA pension cost adjustment Provide all other support as assigned Minimum Qualifications: * Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics * Experience working / interning in a bulge bracket or large boutique investment banking, private equity, consulting or a Big Four accounting firm * Strong data management and research skills * Strong analytical and quantitative skills * Knowledge of corporate finance theory * Working proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese, both verbal and written * Technical proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Power Point Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated record of academic excellence * 6+ months of work experience in M&A * Prior experience with internal BVT valuation methodologies * Prior experience with internal project administration tools * Experience in M&A sell-side and buy-side processes * Knowledge of Latin America BNP Paribas is committed to providing a work environment that fosters diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity without regard to race, color, gender, age, creed, sex, religion, national origin, disability (physical or mental), marital status, citizenship, ancestry, sexual orientation, gender identity and gender expression, or any other legally protected status.
