Responsibilities The Mortgage Loan Officer Trainee will complete our Mortgage Loan Officer Development program, which includes company provided training and mentoring. The individual is expected to acquire knowledge within 12 months that will provide the opportunity to excel in a fast-paced sales environment. Completes all requirements for ANB's Mortgage Loan Officer Development Program Learns to actively market ANB's mortgage lending products to referral sources and consumers, under the guidance of an experienced Mortgage Loan Officer Learns to ensure that all compliance requirements, including company policies and federal and state regulations are met Learns to recommend loans for approval or rejection, or to request additional information Learns to review with customer mortgage loan terms and conditions Learns to meet the company's customer service standards Position may be subject to SAFE Act registration requirements Qualifications Qualifications High School Diploma/GED required Associate's degree or a minimum of 3 years experience working in banking with knowledge of mortgage loans Bachelors degree preferred; Degree in Finance, Business, or related field highly preferred Position will require registration with the National Mortgage Licensing & Registry (NMLS); must meet associated credit and criminal background requirements Skills Must possess time management and organization skills to effectively prioritize multiple objectives and achieve volume goals Ability to handle confidential material in a professional, ethical manner; perform with courtesy and tact Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain professional relationships with customers and coworkers Ability to multitask; ability to read, examine, and organize documents Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and MS Word; basic keyboarding and calculator skills Must be able to do simple math and carry out written instructions Lifting in an office setting may be required up to 30lbs Equal Opportunity Employer
