  • Responsibilities

    The Management Trainee Program provides participants with experiences, challenges and unique learning opportunities that are designed to develop the skills necessary to be an effective leader for the future. This entry-level program will be rotational 2-year training with hands-on experience throughout the Corporation. This may include collaborative experience with our USA business Popular Bank. It will provide emerging talent an opportunity to apply knowledge, enhance their skills through mentoring and coaching, and expand their professional network. Associates will work on strategic projects and initiatives, gain hands-on experience and get acquainted with Banco Popular’s strategic vision, pillars, and values. During the program, the participant will receive in-depth exposure to the following topics:

    • Onboarding Popular as a leader
    • Leadership in a digital world and the impact on business models while providing a deep and immersive learning experience
    • Group dynamics and coaching
    • Innovation
    • Strategic design-making
    • Collaboration

    This program is a stepping-stone into management within Banco Popular with potential career paths to Supervisor, Project Manager or Manager.

  • Qualifications
    • 3.0 + GPA
    • Master’s Degree or Juris Doctor
    • Fully Bilingual- Spanish & English
    • MS Office proficiency
    • No more than 5 years of combined work experience after completing a Bachelor's & Master's Degree
    • Relevant internship experiences in their educational field
    • Solid experience in leadership positions within student’s organizations and/or leading community and service initiatives
    • Involvement in extracurricular activities (e.g. mentoring, tutoring, volunteer work)
