Consumer Credit Card - Credit Strategy Analyst III -Wilmington, DE; Jacksonville, FL; Charlotte, NC; Plano, TX; - United States -Job number: 18002783 -Job Description: Responsible for supporting projects and initiatives within US Consumer Card Credit Strategies. Role entails performing complex analysis and modeling that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. This position entails managing multiple projects and developing analyses for the purpose of making recommendations to optimize new account underwriting with a specialized focus on credit abuse, intentional mis-use, and bust-out credit strategies. Reviews and analyzes trends, population distributions, and recommends strategy enhancements. The position requires being able to utilize sophisticated database analysis tools for data identification, preparation, collection and extraction for the purpose of implementing strategies that meet or exceed performance expectations. Immigration visa sponsorship / visa transfer is not available for this position. Required Skills: *Intermediate SAS skills Strong analytical, logical reasoning and problem solving skills required. Strong knowledge of statistics and data mining techniques. Proven capabilities with SQL, Decision Tree, and Excel software. Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Strong working knowledge of the process and tools used for the development, validation, implementation, and documentation of credit risk strategies and/or scoring models. Previous credit experience and knowledge of credit policies and procedures. Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L business drivers. Ability to communicate effectively and influence others to drive results. Effective project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads. Desired Skills: Bachelors degree in business, math, statistics, economics or related quantitative discipline. 3+ years prior experience in developing strategies and/or credit criteria. Develops complex program models to extract data and uses multiple databases to acquire statistical and financial data. Utilizes portfolio trends to propose policy/procedural changes within segmentation structure to produce optimal results. Excels at risk/reward trade off. Build relationships with external agencies. Participates in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion, independent judgment, the ability to communicate with multiple levels of management and the utilization of core leadership behaviors. SAS and/or MicroStrategy experience preferred; 2-5 years experience preferred.
