Prospecting of La Michoacana Meat Market clients to provide information regarding pricing and product advantages of an installment loan ranging from $30-$1200. Keep in mind that installment loans are not Pay Day loans. Primary Responsibilities: * Performs collection activities as needed, including travel. * Builds rapport with existing and potential customer base to encourage customers to use Barri products and loan services. * Advises customers about rates & loan product options, while gathering key information to find solutions for BFG customers. * Solicits new or current customers via inbound and outbound calling and marketing drives. * Maintains customer contact reports. * Prospecting within the La Michoacana Meat Market store and stand alone branches. * Monitors loan repayment process. * Works with highly confidential information such as customer financial records. * Maintains current procedural knowledge for compliance guideline standards for lending and record keeping. * Performs other duties as assigned. Position Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED. * One year working experience with lending products in a retail sales environment. * Working knowledge of loan files, documents and underwriting processes. * Strong verbal & written communication skills for constant interaction with prospective customers via in person approach, or by telephone. * Knowledge of customer service concepts and practices. * Ability to analyze customer needs & make recommendations for appropriate loan products. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of customer information. * Must speak Spanish fluently (Spanish reading comprehension is highly preferred and/or fully bilingual in Spanish & English with the capability of learning to be fluent in Spanish).
