    JOB TITLE: Teller 4 DEPARTMENT: Branch Office

    JOB SUMMARY The Head Teller shares the responsibility with all Branch employees for delivering on the Beneficial Promise “As a leader in the community, Beneficial is passionate about educating, inspiring, and motivating people to take action to do well”. The Head Teller is proficient in performing all teller duties and demonstrates a thorough understanding of all bank policies and procedures, and products and services. The Head Teller is responsible for providing effective supervision and leadership of the teller staff. The Head Teller is responsible for ensuring all Branch settlements are completed and that proper cash levels have been maintained. The Head Teller embraces “Do what’s right” as the singular priority in all activities.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Proficient in processing all deposits, withdrawals, payments and settlements; able to settle the Office and conduct audits
    • Thoroughly understands all Bank policies, procedures and compliance regulations
    • Adept in check cashing policies and able to seek appropriate approvals when needed
    • Knowledgeable about all Bank products, services, and investment alternatives and able to make appropriate recommendations to educate and refer customers
    • Thorough knowledge of all security procedures
    • Cross-trained to open accounts or provide other non transactional services for customers
    • Perceives customer needs and seeks ways to make the customer experience memorable
    • Able to educate customers
    • Assists in training of new tellers
    • Ensures all new Tellers are properly trained
    • Effectively leads and manages the Teller’s area and workflow
    • Responsible for ensuring compliance in all Teller functions
    • Achieves all business goals
    • Willingly participates in all Bank and community events
    • Champions the Beneficial culture of “Think like a customer and act like an owner”
    • Ensures a mutually respectful workplace

      REQUIRED SKILLS

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 2 years Teller or customer service experience or other related experience
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Excellent communication and listening skills
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Knowledge of products and services
    • Sales / retail experience desirable
    • Ability to recommend a product or service
    • Able to lead and manage staff
    • Able to coach subordinates
    • Good decision making skills
