Job Description: The Portfolio Compliance Group (PCG) is a global team within the Business Operations department at BlackRock. The team is responsible for implementing controls and processes to ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and portfolio guidelines. The team fulfills this mission primarily by extracting, analyzing, coding and monitoring client, regulatory and internal investment guidelines on the firm's Aladdin system. The team is engaged with and provides services to many other departments and functions across the firm, including: portfolio management, trading, client services, technology, operations and legal. ROLE/RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsibilities are dynamic, but typically include: + Account coding and coding reviews + New account on-boarding activities + Pre and Post-trade violation investigation & resolution + Manual test execution + Identification of coding issues + Reviewing daily risk and compliance reports + Running hypothetical scenario analysis to project the impact of specific trading strategies on portfolio compliance + Calculating and coordinating borrowing requirements for portfolios with leverage facilities + Becoming acquainted with BlackRock's various Aladdin applications, trade flow process, and data environment + Designing new system rules, enhancing existing compliance coding, and investigating or troubleshooting potential errors when needed + Participating in efficiency and improvement initiatives by providing ideas and suggestions on possible enhancements to systems or processes + Leading or managing strategic projects and initiatives Development Value : + Exposure to multiple business groups and investment products across Blackrock globally + Daily interaction with key business groups such as portfolio management, trading and client service professionals + Opportunity to take responsibility and ownership for both individual projects and team goals + Visibility in being a service champion for PCG both internal and external clients + Exposure to global regulatory jurisdictions and frameworks + Growth and development within a truly global team and firm BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: + Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Economics, Finance or Business Management + At least 2 years' experience in the financial services industry PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: + Proficiency in data analytics (Excel) and presentations/pitches (PowerPoint) + Excellent operational, organizational, and follow-up skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
