Job Description: FP&A Analyst- Associate The Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (CFP&A) team is seeking an Analyst or Associate to join its team in New York. The Corporate FP&A team works closely with FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury, Tax, Controllers, Corporate Strategy and Corporate Development to improve business analysis, better inform management decision-making and communicate more effectively with key stakeholders. The Corporate FP&A team provides direct support to the Chief Financial Officer and other Senior Management in the areas of planning, forecasting, reporting and value-added analysis. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and be able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities * Assist in the coordination and production of BlackRock's business level and firm-wide financial reporting, including but not limited to the annual budget, monthly forecast and quarterly business reviews * Support senior management in analyses relevant to making strategic decisions on the future of the team & company * Assist in creation and review of presentations and detailed financial analyses presented to senior management, board of directors, and external analysts * Create and improve financial models to analyze the company, businesses and products * Analyze and reconcile data as part of an oversight role to make sure forecast workstreams are running smoothly * Analyze and understand business needs, processes and operating models as well as the tools and technology in place to support FP&A * Identify areas of FP&A and the business to implement standardized reporting or process improvements * Ensure documentation of all FP&A processes are updated and work with project teams on the documentation of new enhancement * Ability to engage and build communication across teams through creative and innovative means * Provide support for ad-hoc project work Skills and Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or related field. * 2+ years of experience, financial services experience a plus * Exceptional Excel skills required, experience with IBM Cognos/TM1 and Bloomberg preferred, VBA skills a plus * Focus on attention to detail and high standards for quality and accuracy in work product * Ability to clearly articulate and present ideas both in written presentations and orally * Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills, innovative thinking and vision * Demonstrated ability to work/navigate in a large organization. * Excellent time management skills including the ability to support multiple projects * Able to work effectively under pressure and in a rapidly changing environment in order to meet deadlines * Willing to challenge the status quo * A great attitude and strong work ethic BlackRock is proud to be an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
