Prosperity Bank is seeking to fill the position of Full Time Data Architect in our IT Dept at our Sugar Land, Corporate location.

Prosperity Bank is looking for a Data Architect to work closely with our IT teams to recommend database structures based on the data storage and retrieval needs within each department. For this role, you should know how to analyze system requirements and provide solutions to outline the changing needs of the company. Hands-on experience with SQL is also required. Ideally, you are familiar with predictive analysis and data visualization techniques using relevant tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)

RESPONSIBILITIES: • Provide insight into the changing database storage and utilization requirements for the company and offer suggestions for solutions • Analyze database implementation methods to make sure they are in line with company policies and any external regulations that may apply • Develop database design and architecture documentation for the management and executive teams • Help maintain the integrity and security of the company databases • Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements • Assure compliance to change management and security policies • Proactively forecast database needs to accommodate growth and ensure optimal operating conditions • Contribute in establishing and implementing data governance practices • Provide technical mentoring to other IT staff to support skills development. • Assist with creating and maintaining Business Intelligence reporting dashboards

Required Skills

• Excellent understanding of Relational Database Design • Be self-driven with the desire to achieve measurable, specific results within tight time frames • Proficiency in interpersonal communication, presentation, problem solving and analytical skills • Advanced knowledge of techniques to efficiently represent, store, and query large volumes of data. • Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools with expertise in SSIS, SSRS • Hands on experience with BI tools and visual reporting platforms • Strong knowledge of business intelligence best practice processes, tools, and standards • Ability to create and present solution designs in the most appropriate style for different stakeholder groups

Required Experience

• A minimum of five years of Database Analysis or Management

• Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience

• A minimum of two years’ experience in the Financial & Banking industry preferred

• Experience designing, implementing and managing a data warehouse
