    Overview

    Stifel’s Investment Banking division is seeking a Business Analyst in their New York, NY office to support the Financial Sponsors Group. The Financial Sponsors Group serves as the investment bank’s primary liaison with private equity and venture capital firms. The role will focus on supporting senior members of the Financial Sponsors Group by generating buyer’s lists, tracking banker pitch activity, managing the deal pipeline, and completing CRM data entry and analysis.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Track banker pitch activity and ensure relevant information is input into Salesforce
    • Provide support to other groups, within the investment banking division, to market the firm’s financial sponsors practice area
    • Complete portfolio analyses on Financial Sponsor clients
    • Recommend buyers in conjunction with M&A transactions
    • Coordinate regular team calls and prepare relevant materials
    • Maintain group specific marketing handouts and collaborate with the Institutional Group marketing department to prepare mailers and other marketing materials
    • Track meeting activity especially in conjunction with conferences and other events

    Position Specifications/Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required in business, accounting or finance
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to develop relationships with internal and external clients
    • Proficient with various computer programs including Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce, Capital IQ, and Pitchbook
    • Excellent level of attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proactive thinker and interest in helping us grow the group and firm
    • Well-developed skills in organization, prioritization, and time management
    • Works efficiently under stress to meet deadlines

    Minimum salary: $70,000

    Maximum salary: $95,000
