    DESCRIPTION

    This role is part of the current Transformation program. The Transformation program is expected to continue through the end of 12/31/2022. As the Business Analyst you will support the overall management of the HSBC Trade Transformation projects that includes testing and implementing new systems & improving business processes, supporting new products / instruments, working with partners across the bank, and providing key reporting to senior leadership. We are looking for you to join our team and demonstrate a desire to develop a deep understanding of GTRF product propositions, strong system knowledge, analytical skills, an ability to engage with senior partners and the capability to implement successful projects.

    • Supporting the Work Stream Lead and PMO Lead in transformation to Agile ways of working
    • Perform UAT in accordance with the test plan, document and evidences the results as per the existing framework
    • Measure the progress and takes action to ensure results are achieved, and exceeded where possible; focuses on quality and review requirements and builds on feedback
    • Assist in managing against the plan, looking ahead and removing roadblocks to delivery. Ask questions when they do not understand, takes ownership of problems and raises when needed (remaining calm, knowing when to call out, advances with possible solutions)
    • Assist with the production of a well-defined project plan & JIRA backlog, identifying the key achievements / epics and support in the assigning of role/task responsibilities
    • Assist with closure activities, including handover to the business, gathering lessons learned, benefits tracking and quality assurance.
    • Track, review and controls project progress and performance at clearly defined points in the process to help ensure that the project is delivered on time, within budget; anticipating potential risks issues & dependencies, putting mitigating actions into place to prevent delivery stalling and advancing as appropriate
    • Anticipate issues and risks and address them quickly, with an understanding of the critical path. Contemplate contingencies and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
    • Work closely with delivery partners to shape the programme, ensuring there are clear goals, benefits, scope, governance and delivery structure with planning, design and estimating, bringing together delivery and business partner teams; actively handling dependencies between teams and other projects and programmes

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Employment eligibility to work with HSBC in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions We're looking for someone who has:

    • Experience in handling core trade transactions in a multi-geographic, with proven track record to successfully handle UAT's, perform system testing across GTRF businesses and new platforms.
    • Ability to build and maintain constructive relationships with internal partners across all levels and geographies of the organization.
    • Strong ability to root out fundamental issues, and identify risk on project and GTRF Business.
    • Strong capability in translating analysis results into business recommendations.
    • Comfort with a fast-paced environment and changing requirements.
    • Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
