SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for developing and documenting Target Operating Model (TOM) through interviews with different operations units, data analysis, etc. The position’s activities do not only pertain to Mizuho Bank Ltd. (BK) New York Branch, but they also encompass Mizuho U.S. Operations (MUSO) as well as other non-U.S. BK subsidiaries and branches.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
The position’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
General:
Lead discussions and brainstorming sessions for current state/process discovery
Lead discussion and brainstorming sessions for developing Target Operating Model (TOM)
Analyze data to diagnose issues and identify bottlenecks
Make suggestions for process enhancements
Participate in full project lifecycle. The tasks will include, but not limited to:
Capture and document business requirements
Understand and translate business issues and needs into requirements to create overall solution
Help users develop User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and strategies
Liaise with internal and external technology partners
Support UAT
Documentation: create and maintain documents such as process diagrams, Business Requirement Documents (BRD), user manuals, etc.
Policy:
Obtain a basic understanding of the applicable rules and regulations that govern Mizuho. Understand that all questions and/or clarification about such rules and regulations should be directed to Americas Legal and Compliance Division. Read and respond as necessary to all compliance-related reference and directive materials received. Comply with the MUSO’s “Code of Conduct”.
Follow all the policies and procedures of MUSO that are applicable to the position.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS OR EXPERIENCE:
College degree plus minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Working knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle and MS SQL Server, including the skills to write simple to complex SQL queries
Proficient in MS Office: MS Project, MS Access, MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritize own tasks
MS Visio is a plus

The expected base salary ranges from $75,000 - $127,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications and licenses obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, successful candidates are eligible to receive a discretionary bonus.
