Business Development Associate - Financial Sponsors Group - New York, NY

Overview

Stifel’s Investment Banking Division is seeking a Business Development Associate in their New York, NY office to support the Financial Sponsors Group. The Financial Sponsors Group serves as the investment bank’s primary liaison with private equity and venture capital firms. The role will focus on supporting senior members of the Financial Sponsors Group.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Recommend buyers in conjunction with M&A transactions.
• Complete portfolio analyses on Financial Sponsor clients
• Conduct competitor analysis and manage databases and other internal deal trackers.
• Track banker pitch activity and ensure relevant information is inputted into firm’s CRM (Salesforce)
• Maintain group specific marketing handouts and collaborate with the Institutional Group marketing department to prepare mailers and other marketing collateral.
• Track meeting activity especially in conjunction with conferences and other events
• Coordinate recurring team calls and prepare relevant materials.
• Provide support to other groups, within the investment banking division, to market the firm’s financial sponsors practice area.

Minimum salary: $160,000

Maximum salary: $225,000

Position Specifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required in business, accounting or finance.
• 3-4 years of relevant experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to develop relationships with internal and external clients.
