    Job Description

    The Business Process Manager for DPS Risk Management is an ideal position for an experienced professional in operational risk management. Reporting to the Senior Director of DPS Risk Management and the DPS Program Governance Office, this role is crucial in developing and maintaining cross-product frameworks and strategies to meet DPS objectives.

    The Business Process Manager for DPS Risk Management, will enhance risk management practices through the identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks associated with DPS products and services. This role supports the integrity of DPS products by ensuring reliable and compliant risk and control documentation using Risk Control Self-Assessments.

    The manager will foster cross-functional collaboration by promoting effective communication and teamwork across departments while driving continuous improvement in risk management processes and tools through ongoing assessments and training. Additionally, this role enhances stakeholder communication by keeping all relevant parties informed and engaged in risk management efforts.

    Supporting incident management, the manager will assist in responding to and analyzing risk-related incidents to enhance the businesses’ control environment. They will also contribute to strategic goals by aligning risk management activities with the objectives of the DPS Program Governance Office and Visa Enterprise Risk Management. Furthermore, the role promotes risk awareness across the organization and optimizes internal controls by ensuring their effectiveness while supporting action plans to resolve deficiencies.

    By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Business Process Manager will strengthen the organization's risk management capabilities and contribute to the successful execution of DPS program goals.

    This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

    Basic Qualifications

    • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD).

    Preferred Qualifications

    • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
    • Over 3 years of experience in the payments industry (prepaid, debit, credit, fintech, network processing, issuer processing, acquiring, etc.).
    • Current experience in Risk Management is highly preferred, with knowledge of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools being a plus.
    • Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA, CISM, or CRISC are advantageous.
    • Strong written, oral, and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize information and make clear, concise recommendations.
    • Excellent managerial, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence both internally and externally.
    • Demonstrated thought leadership, creativity, and the ability to identify innovative solutions to common problems.
    • Proven ability to prioritize projects effectively, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
    • Ability to work independently while being team-oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible.
    • Highly motivated with the ability to build effective relationships across all organizational levels, as well as with clients and partners to achieve business objectives.
    • Expertise in process mapping is strongly preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, and Outlook.

    Additional Information

    ** Work Hours:** Varies upon the needs of the department.

    ** Travel Requirements:** This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

    ** Mental/Physical Requirements:** This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

    U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 105,900.00 to 130,550.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
