    TEAM DESCRIPTION:

     

    Position Summary:  

     

    You will be an intricate part of design and execution of the knits/wovens business, focusing on supporting the Facilitating Manager of Wovens, and two Knit/Woven designers to achieve overall creative and business goals.

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Assist the Design team to prep for key milestones
    • Assist Design Manager with meeting & fittings prep
    • Plan, facilitate and/or execute assigned design projects
    • Support the Design Manager with preparation of the trend report
    • Collaborate with design team and cross-functional business partners
    • Responsible for keeping trims and samples organized
    • Own the daily communications with domestic /oversea vendors & internal teams
    • Input and update data in our PLM system (DeSL)
    • Sketch designs by both hand and digitally when required
    • Digital editing of sketches
    • Own the preparation of design spec sheets digitally
    • Be vigilant in tracking any updates with styles in all stages (development to production)

     

    PERFORMS OTHER RELATED DUTIES AND ASSIGNMENTS AS REQUIRED.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in Fashion/Apparel Design or relevant study

     

    Required Experience:

     

    • 4+ years of previous work experience in design, preferably in Womens Knits/Wovens
    • Must be proficient with PDM/PLM systems
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Experience with sketching by hand and computer
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Illustrator, and Photoshop
    • Must be able to work on various projects as requested
    • Experience in 3-D design, a plus
    • Responsible for communicating and taking fit notes to Technical Design team
    • Must be self-motivated, trustworthy, team player, flexible, organized, and professional at all times
    • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
    • Experience working with Technical Designers & patternmakers in fittings
    • Excellent organizational & time-management skill
  • Qualifications
    •  Must be dependable, detail-oriented, able to follow directions, able to work under minimal supervision
    • Operation of powered industrial trucks requires certification training.
    • The candidate must be willing to work weekends and overtime hours.
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 65lbs
    • Must be able to work in refrigerated environment
    • Ability to work around a variety of spices and smells
    • Must be willing to follow all production and safety processes and procedures
    • Frequent and repetitive: grasping, reaching, bending, and stooping
